- The first three images were taken at the Broadway Bridge. I chose to take them there because of the interesting lines that the railings and supports make. Its whole structure is visible, and the power of its mass is very visible. I also liked the way the colors blended with they grey light of the overcast sky, leading to contrast of texture versus color.
- The second three images were taken in the law quad/of the law library on campus. I thought these would be interesting because it's our own little taste of old world architecture in Ann Arbor, even though it was constructed during the 20s. These are ones where I wished I had more colorful light because the color/texture of the stone gets washed out in the overcast light.
- The third three images were taken at the Ross Business School building. When I was looking around it, I was super intrigued by all of the lines. This building is really cool, and I love the texture and hue of the exposed metal. The one on the right is my favorite picture from this whole assignment, I love the lines of the glass contrasting with the tree.
- The fourth three images were taken at the school part of St. Thomas. If I had been armed with more than my nifty fifty (equivalent cause m43), I would have loved to captured the contrast between it and the church part, but I couldn't get anything I liked. I did like the overcast with the brick and the windows, though.
- The last three were taken of St. Thomas itself. I love the different colors of the stone here, and I liked the contrast of it with the grey sky. I do wish the light was different so I could've gotten more pop from the stained glass, but I'm close enough to it that I just need to wait for the right day and go for a walk.
